I did hard reset after flash and all was then fine..
But i did use my own old data.bin so didnt loose any programs.

Awesome rom, everything works like a charm
Great work!

Only my battery seems to drain quite fast, even with everything (3g/4g, wlan, bluetooth, nfc etc.) turned off and powersaving mode turned on.
Are there maybe any more in depth tricks for tweaking the battery life, except the usual ones?
I could imagine that it is possible to undervolt the cpu via registry settings.

I have done everything. unlocked bootloader and enabled root access on room. after flashing backup.zip when phone reboots to normal mode the Nokia logo shows for several minutes and blank the screen.... what is it??

If anybody bricked a phone trying to unlock bootloader in WP Internals 2.4 just flash it with the original FFU file.

Bluetooth issue

Hi everyone!

Successfully flashed ROM and updated OS after changed registry values.

Currently cannot connect to my Xiaomi Mi Band 2 via Bluetooth. Phone tells almost immediately that "Couldn't connect". It seems that Lumia even didn't try to find devices.

Thank you very much for your ROM backups! I did reset my phone to 8.1 hoping that it will unlock 4G but it didn't work because of region lock and also I could not w10 back no matter what I've tried to do. Thanks to you its back and also 4G is working now But it was actually challenge to flash your backup over 1 hour while I have broken microUSB and every next second it could suddenly disconnect.

Also I would appreciate if somebody answer me on 2 questions:
1. Is it possible to lock Audio app from updating to Equaliser using registry? Thats the only app which keeps me from enabling of store autoupdates.
2. Do I need to unlock my bootloader to make ROM backup in case of some bad windows update to not search this post again and have completely my ROM to flash back? If yes, then which ffu shall I use to unlock it? The 8.1 firmware but polish version? Can I do it another way? Because of my broken microUSB its problem, every time I unlock bootloader I risk to fail it and my system won't boot again.

and thx for your effort in making/providing this (bit confusing) Tut and Stuff!!!

Got to mention, that Windows 8.1 GDR Releases seem to be removed from Updateservers, so you definitely have to flash those on your own by downloading .ffu from Lumiafirmware.com.

I found out, that you can upgrade to Win10 (buildnumber shown in first post from neoloko) without editing registry, by simply flashing all the Files from his BackUp (dunno if denim is still reqeuired befor doing this, but Bootloader has to be unlocked and Massstorage-mode!). Be aware, that this eventually leads to a change of your Phonedistrubutor (EU or GB etc. to PL), and maybe some diasabled or not function Apps or particular Hardware (3G/4G/LTE/VoLTE/SIM-Lock). Did'nt testet it all yet, and will report in a few days, but for now it works fine and flawless.

HARD RESET AFTER FLASHING BACKUP NEEDED (as Neoloko mentioned allready)!!!

IF SOMETHING WENT WRONG (UNBRICK/BOOTLOPP), SEARCH GOOGLE FOR FLASH/RECOVERY LUMIA THROUG .VPL (according/corrosponding files that belong to your initial .FFU needed to work!!!)

For me it worked fine, received the latest 2018-05 Update for arm based Windows Phones on it. Also some Lumia-apps that came with his BackUp are working.

So in Final it all goes without editing the Registry of the Phone. Dunno if futureupdates are working too without regedit, but i'll think they will not, cause MS outlined the Support of 1020's. So if you want to be up to date untill MS crops the support in end of 2019 for those Lumia's that actually supported, you have to do the trick via regedit every time you want to Update, or use a full 1020-BackUp of someone who is on the latest WPH10 Build! I dont need this atm, cause i had no relevant Data on it, and only want to use it as Camera, for Calls and WhatsApp. So decide by yourself if you wanna goe this way and risc some Hacking of your Phone through bad Peoples arround the World...

Ps. there are some other Tut's outside of XDA for doing the Trick with regedit via InterOp-Tool (installed WP10 needed!), Windows Phone Internals, and some are through Windows Developer Programm/Tool.

For BackuUp of your complete ROM (3 Partitions) Unlock and Massstoragemode is needed (see Description in WPI 1.2), think this belongs to readaccses to the EFI-Partition, but think this only counts if you want to BackUp all your Apps and Data too. If not you still can use the latest or original ROM (FFU) that belongs to your Phone/Provider on Lumiafirmware.com

14393 is best choice to 1020 as its smooth, microsoft maps works, bluetooth works and camera works as it should.
No more updating to fresher versions on my 1020.

Hi! I'm new member here.
I've recovered my bricked Lumia 1020. It is currently on Windows 10 Mobile version 1709 (15254.527). Everything is working quite decently except for Maps and screen projection everything is working fine.
Also, Glance Screen w/ background + LED Notification is working great. Brightness slider works good (Darkest setting really helps in the night), etcetra.

Why I replied?
For the maps, I think if they've worked earlier. They should've worked even now. Since, Maps got major changes at around June/July 30, 2016. (I read from HERE360 website)
Now, through Windows Device Portal I've found that when Maps are launched and working --> Then GPU usage is almost limited to Engine 0 and other engines seems 'almost' free.
I asked this from you because I've seen your comments, etc. in other posts/threads & I remember your name and found you here. :cyclops: I think you can help me w/ this (maybe) or re-direct me to appropriate location/person. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Also, I can;t seem to find the place/link/button where I can ask questions? Help!
