Yeah, mine too... Tomorrow I'm going to buy the necessary tools to disassemble it and I'll unplug the battery while it has some charge, then I'll plug it back again to see if it boots up normally.

Why are you so sure it is not a Battery issue? Maybe then a power switch problem. It may be sticky.

Nandroid backup? Than give it a try with a different release, maybe that one in particular is defective or damage.

It looks like dust to me, but to know it for sure I recomend you to take it to a LG Center. They may not give you a replacement unit, but at least you will know what the problem is.

In my opinion, the easiest way to get a video without sound would be reencoding it with a editing software.
