We're a niche market, that companies like LG and Samsung don't care to loose. The overwhelming amount of phone users could not care less about rooting their device, if they even know what root means.

Fastboot oem unlock is the command, it doesn't work.

I believe it's already been tried. But if you want to send the fastboot unlock command to your phone by all means try it.

OEM Unlock showed up on mine without doing anything special. To my understanding the fastboot unlock just doesn't work.

I doubt anyone is going to be backing up 100GB every month. And I really don't care if the government can access my data stored in the cloud, or the company I'm backing it up to. I'm not doing anything illegal on my phone(or anywhere for that matter), so whatever, let them look at it. All...

That's what I was afraid of. That's gonna complicate root. PSA to everyone, if you want root I would hold off on the marshmallow update.

I doubt months. But with marshmallow comes dm verity, which could definitely complicate the rooting process.

I don't really expect lg to release it till android marshmallow. We've been hoping for a leaked file.

It was my understanding that he was waiting for the tot in case the exploit doesn't work and bricks his phone, so he can restore it.

You're right. Thanks for actually reading the thread before commenting. I swear half of this thread is answering/explaining to people who haven't read it.

That link is a direct copy from tutorials set up at XDA. That tutorial was made so that when the files are obtained there is already a working tutorial.
