Post [04.12.2012][ICS/JB]Universal Rooting for most phones, Any ROM, now with CWM6

Thank you very much! I managed to root my Galaxy Note LQ3 using your method. However, my device had less than 1 Mb free on the /system partition, so I modified the uninstall to also remove Aurora2.apk and Aurora2.odex (it's a live wallpaper that occupies about 5 Mb); after doing that, everything...

Post Regions where ICS is out for Galaxy Note

Yeah... did the OTA update, the phone is stuck in the boot logo. When I try to enter the recovery menu I get the robot with wireframe animation, then after 3-4 seconds it get to the boot logo again.

Post Possibly getting a Note; few Questions

As other posters said, the battery is 2500 mAh. As for battery usage example: today, after 13 hours of usage, the battery still has 38% remaining. Usage means: data connection active all the time; display on for 2 hours (auto brightness); Nemo Picross played for about 1/2 hour; browsing, email...

Post [24sept12]How to Root/Unroot Samsung Galaxy Note + CWM

Reboot issue First, thanks for the tutorial. I rooted my Galaxy Note using the tool and the root process worked flawlessly. However, I have a strange issue and it seems I'm the only one having this (or at least I wasn't able to find anyone else complaining about that...). After I rooted the...

Post not buying samsung ever again

Come on, stop ranting Samsung is a company that gave us enough support for this device, admit it! The device shipped with 2.1, then they updated to 2.2, 2.3 and now they are giving us a value pack for 2.3. That's WAAAAY more than I received from HTC when I bought the Tytn II: they sold us a...

Post Here’s Why Android’s UI Will Never Be As Smooth As iOS Or Windows Phone 7

I LOLd... then I LOLd again. Then stopped, had a deep breath and LOLd for the 3rd time. So iOS is better because it gives priority to UI rendering, meaning that if you touch the screen like you're possessed, you get low framerate, and that sounds ok to you. Ok. That's a different approach, and...

Post [KERNEL/TUTORIAL] UPDATE 31/07 Howto mod the stock XXJVR/S/T kernel SU/Init.d Support

I had the same issue (0 free on /system) with XXJVP; I reflashed the phone, but using 513.pit and it seems to work (I read somewhere that 513.pit has more free space on /system partition).

Post [GB Firmwares] XWJVN, DDJV9, XWJVK, XXJVQ, RSJV3 and more [Download]

I had the same issue, it's related to the busybox version. Right now I am using CF 3.0 with busybox 1.18.4 installed in /system/xbin using Stericson's installer. After you do that, it should work ok. I also tried 3.1 but had some bluetooth issues, so I got back to 3.0. Sent from my GT-I9000...

    Post [APP] Zeam Launcher

Well, when something/someone is (almost) perfect, don't try to improve it... You will just ruin everything. One good example in the software area is Total Commander. I use it since it was called Windows commander, about 10 years ago. Right now, it's in an almost perfect state and the author...

    Post [APP] Zeam Launcher

Cloakt, can I please start shooting people making those requests? IMHO, Zeam is great. I use it for about 1/2 year and I had no serious issues. Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App

Strange. It seems I am the only one having issues with 3.1. I wasn't able to use droidwall (reinstalled the iptables fix, installed busybox, the problem persisted with iptables error -1). So I wiped everything clean, installed the original 2.3.3, then flashed 3.0 with the iptables fix, busybox...

Hm... Installed 3.1, then rebooted in recovery mode, wiped cache and Dalvik cache, reboot, reinstalled busybox and bluetooth still not turning on... I suppose I'll try again tomorrow, in fact today, it's almost morning and maybe I did something wrong 'cause I am sleepy. Sent from my GT-I9000...

If that helps, I can confirm the BT issues on my device too (it doesn't turn on). I have busybox 1.18.4 installed in /system/xbin. I tried to clean the Dalvik cache from Titanium Backup, it didn't work. After a reboot and wiping the Dalvik cache from the recovery menu, BT started to work...

Thanks Ahhh, there's nothing like the smell of a fresh baked kernel in the morning... So: I flashed 3.0 using the integrated CWM. After reboot, almost nothing worked, busybox crashed with Segmentation Fault, Titanium Backup said can't get root access etc. You see the picture :) I reflashed...
