    Thread Is the Verizon variant still unrootable? Does that mean I can't install a custom ROM?

    Somewhat of a noob here but I've done a little research before hitting this roadblock. Do I need root to install TWRP and flash a ROM? Also, how can I be sure I have the XT1767 version? I mean, Its got Verizon printed on the back of the phone so I assume, but could I be wrong?
