I have a grandfathered AT&T unlimited plan, and tethering does not work out of the box. I am planning on trying a couple of the tethering apps today to see what happens, and if it is a no-go I'll root. I've seen a few posts either around here or Reddit saying that tethering on AT&T does work...

So why not put their nickname as their name, and list their name as the nickname?

Open the contact and hit edit, scroll to the bottom and click "add another field". Nickname is one of the options.

I think the sarcasm was because you made a point of saying it doesn't protect the back. It is a bumper, it kind of goes without saying it doesn't have back protection...

When I was researching this topic everything indicated that it isn't possible because the digitizer is attached to the frame.
