Just updated my Magisk from 13.3 to 14.0 directly from within the Magisk Manager and it worked! (also updated the manager app too) Just FYI. Still can't install Magisk modules though.

I have the US version. After a couple weeks of using the phone, it now seems like the battery is not as snug against the sd card as when the phone was new. I had taken the battery out and reinserted it several times over the weeks as well. Perhaps things have been "broken in" now.

Has anyone tried installing a module inside magisk manager? I tried loading them locally and using the download section of magisk to get them from the repo, but neither works. Magisk just crashes and the module is not installed. I've tried the tethering enabler, app systemizer, and youtube...

Not bad. The case seems to be worth around $20.

This doesn't seem to work with Magisk 13.3. Upon installing it inside the download section in the Magisk Manager app, I see a "magisk is not activated" error and magisk manager just closes out without installing this module.

Yea, that's what mine said (and probably still says) when I unlocked the bootloader. Evidently, it really is unlocked as I was able to boot twrp and flash and root.

Just went through all of mer2017's steps and I am rooted! Wow, that was actually extremely easy. Also, instead of flashing su, I replaced that step with flashing magisk 13.3. Luckily did not run into any issues at all. I think many people were stuck on step 3? For newcomers looking to avoid...

I've just successfully unlocked my bootloader (the command line says it was a success) and everytime I reboot the phone, I see a message in the top left hand corner that says "bad key". Is this normal?

Does it matter which order we flash no-verity and su? I noticed that Shidell says to flash no-verity first before su, but the guide in page 1 says to flash su before no-verity. Just want to make sure.

The Moto app on the moto e4 is limited in features since it is one of the cheaper models of the moto lineup. Since we have root access, does anyone know if we can force the Moto app to have full functionality with all of the moto features? If so, that would be awesome.

What is the difference between flashing phh's superuser or flashing magisk? I see that mer2017's post says he used phh's superuser and I see many others are flashing magisk.
