Post Using a 512GB SD card on Note 4

No, for some reason, my Note 4 didn't read 512 GB SD cards formatted in exFAT and NTFS properly. So I tried it with FAT32, and it works fine now (even though it has 4GB file size limit that I don't really mind).

Post Half a terabyte phone - a Tank of a phone, 550gb Note 4 with 10,000 mAh battery

I had it formatted exFAT correctly, but it didn't mount for some reason on my phone. It got read properly on Windows 10, Linux, and Canon DSLR. I used Windiws 10 disk manager to format it. I don't know if it were because of my phone or rom or kernel or the card. But if somebody experiences a...

Post Half a terabyte phone - a Tank of a phone, 550gb Note 4 with 10,000 mAh battery

Haha, you got me. I'm an audio-enthusiast, so I've tried multiple ABX tests. I can distinguish up to 192kbps from lossless CD flac files, but anything higher than that I can't really distinguish if it's downsampled and encoded correctly. But CD, LP and SACD of one album all sound very different...

Oh, trust me. I use flac. Compared to normal CD rips (16/44.1), my LP and SACD rips are mostly 24/192 or 32/384 and DSD files. Even after losslessly compressing with flac or wvpack, they are 300-400MB per song. If in uncompressed WAV format, they are ~800MB per song xD

Yeah, I'm aware of that. Thank you anyways. I'm only going to use it for music (LP and SACD rips, which are around 300-400MB per song).

I tried NTFS, but it was the same (didn't get recognized). I use Windows 10 and Gnome Linux, but Windows 10 didn't give me options when formatting other than NTFS and exFAT.

Post Half a terabyte phone - a Tank of a phone, 550gb Note 4 with 10,000 mAh battery

Oh my god, it's fixed. Thank you so much for asking me about the file system. So I had it formatted it exFAT, and that's why my phone didn't recognise it! Since Windows doesn't let users to format a SD card that is bigger than 32GB, I used a program that I found and formatted it in FAT32. Voila...

Hi, I have been trying to use my Note 4 as the ultimate media device with all my music library (close to 1TB). So I read this post and thought it was worth a try. But I have been trying to make my Note 4 read my Kingston 512GB SD cards for about 4 hours now, and nothings seems to be solving the...

Love this rom. I want to begin by thanking you. Great battery life, has all the features that I like/need (although a bit laggy at times). Few things that I've noticed: I've noticed that Yahoo News and Sports on Edge are not working (Ultimate Edition). Also, People Edge doesn't allow me to add...
