Yeh. But I want to know if my OTA updates are working. Plus manual install would wipe the phone right? Sent from my SM-G986U1 using Tapatalk

ok so this is where my confusion comes from. I am running the U1 firmware. I simply have a T Mobile sim card. Now does the U1 fw have the CSC in it? whatever that means implies. I dont have the T mobile logo or TMB bloat on my phone. I had manually flashed the latest U1 fw about 3 weeks ago...

So wanted to confirm something. I had converted my G986W(XAC) to G986U1(XAA) about two weeks ago. I had flashed the G986U1UES1BTIG fw. Using a TMB sim card in the phone. Current CSC shows TMB/TMB/XAC. However i see G986U1UES1BTJ2 (XAA) came out yesterday according to Sammobile site. But when i...

I was just curious as to why the phone still reports using a LTE band while 5G is showing. Signal shows 5G but the app reports LTE band 71.

Thanks for the reply. But then shouldn't I see the 5g band being used ? I understand I'm not within the mmwave coverage. Sent from my SM-G986U1 using Tapatalk

So question. I flashed my W device to U1 firmware. I’m Using a T-Mobile sim. I do see the 5G signal logo on the phone. WiFi calling works. I don’t see my option for VOLTE. But when I check band being used by the phone, using a signal app. It says band 4 and sometimes band 2.Those are LTE bands...

Nope, don’t have esim or volte. Funny I recall seeing volte when I was still on the W firmware. The only real benefit I think I got is probably the enabling of the 5G bands needed on T-Mobile. RCS is also enabled in google messages but again I don’t use regular messaging. Flashed regular CSC...

Yes, I converted to U1. Not sure where I would see the esim option. I do have WiFi calling working. Again not sure where to check for volte. I don’t really make any phone calls so wouldn’t really notice. I do have T-Mobile’s 5G service logo now though. Edit. I don’t see the SIM card manager...

Cool thanks. So Just to clarify and for my understanding. All s20+(the snap dragon models) are the same hardware wise. I.e have the same hardware to support all network bands for 4G and 5G. But me currently being on a W fw(canadian) l likely have some network bands disabled or not being used...
