Thanks for your reply. But 3 out of 4 bigger cores in my phone does not turn on even during heavy loads. That's why I asked this question.

Thread [QUESTION] not all CPU cores are online.

I have noticed that CPU 0 to 4 are always online but CPU 5, 6 and 7 are offline. Infact always offline. I want to turn them on too. I knw the CPUs are offline to save battery life but I would like to manually turn them on or off. The kernel adiutor app reverts the settings back to default for...

    Post [KERNEL][CPUSET][OREO/PIE][X52X] GrapheneKernel v3.0

Thanks. But still I think throttling down all the way to 400MHz significantly degrades performance. If there's a solution via the kernel, then I hope developer implements it. Anyways, thanks for this healthy conversation. Sent from my Le 2 using XDA Labs

    Post [KERNEL][CPUSET][OREO/PIE][X52X] GrapheneKernel v3.0

I'm somewhat convinced that whenever the CPU overheats, it dials lowest possible frequency in both its max and min slots. Even if you change the settings through kernel adiutor manually, the CPU, when screen goes off, does not dial back to the frequencies you had set in the app. It simply goes...

    Post [KERNEL][CPUSET][OREO/PIE][X52X] GrapheneKernel v3.0

Thanks for the reply. Ive tried changing the max active core count via the slider you're telling but it doesn't helps. After some time (probably in a deep sleep) it reverts back to 2 core online n low frequencies. I think it's when the battery is low or the cpu temp is high. Sent from my Le 2...

    Post [KERNEL][CPUSET][OREO/PIE][X52X] GrapheneKernel v3.0

My cpu cores are limited to 400MHz and hexacore mode. When I try to increase them manually, they automatically revert back. Having all the core to such a low value decreases performance significantly. I just want to know if this was intentional or am I facing a bug. Sent from my Le 2 using XDA...

DarknessKiller, ROM - MIUI 9 by SagarMakhar Kernel - Illusion 1.3.1 Any other tweak - rooted via magisk, nothing else With this kernel, the phone never gets to 2.7 amps while charging. It peaks at about 1.6 amps. Usually it hovers from 230 mA to 1.6 A. But when using overload kernel, it gets...
