I am sure there is no damage to the volume down button. I have tried flashing stock rom but to no avail, I can flash TWRP but when I send the command to boot to TWRP, it just shows a blank screen. Thanks for your reply man.

I used this method on the following firmware CFC_obake-maxx_verizon-user-4.4.4-SU6-7.7-release-keys.xml I have bricked my phone and donot know what to do Please help.
