Post Canadian carriers disabling Note7 IMEIs on December 15th, 2016

Ok guys...I'm sad to say that I couldn't sit by and allow Telus to blacklist my IMEI number on Wednesday. I swapped my Note7 for a silver octa-core Exynos S7 Edge :'( I must say it is much faster than my Snapdragon 820 Note7... and better on battery. But I'm afraid that's where it all falls...

Post Canadian carriers disabling Note7 IMEIs on December 15th, 2016

Yeah the carriers in New Zealand blacklisted the phones. It doesn't matter about a software update at that point. In Canada, they will push an update on Dec 12 to max the battery at 15% and disable wifi and bluetooth. And on Dec 15, carriers will blacklist the phone.

Thread Canadian carriers disabling Note7 IMEIs on December 15th, 2016

Sad but true. I may need to have my Note7 swapped afterall. I got an email from my corporate Telus retailer saying that all carriers in Canada will be disabling on December 15th. Now I need to finally bite the bullet and get an inferior S7 Edge. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement.

Post [Q] Any solution on removing the pop up on first gen N7?

Samsung knows the difference based on the IMEI. The software update will either give you the warning message everytime you plug in or reboot (if you have the original N7), or it will give you the green battery icon (if you have the "replacement" N7). The same update is responsible for...

Own31, check your PM. I explained why you are still receiving the warning message and have no green battery.

Post DONT UPDATE Package Disabler Pro if you want to AVOID the OTA

Don't worry about it bro, no harm done :) I just didn't want people to think they couldn't trust the file. Because I am only trying to help people with it

Post DONT UPDATE Package Disabler Pro if you want to AVOID the OTA

Lol... well I made it pretty clear from the beginning that it was pirated. With that said, I'm not worried about any adverse effects from installing and using it. I'm usually pretty good about noticing little things or changes in performance/behaviour typically associated with malware.

Post DONT UPDATE Package Disabler Pro if you want to AVOID the OTA

Myself, as well as many others, are using that version without any issues whatsoever. You should look for the problem elsewhere. I don't understand what you mean... why would Google Play Store load if the phone is asleep?

    Post I am 100%er - who else?

I have two fully functional Note 7s, one from pre-order and one "replacement" with the green battery. Both charge to 100% without issue. 10/10 condition on both. Not a single scratch or dent. I was one of the first here with Package Disabler 6.3 and all the packages disabled, helping others to...

Post DONT UPDATE Package Disabler Pro if you want to AVOID the OTA

You are missing the second last on my list here that is VITAL to disable...although I have heard of some Note7 users not having this package. And I suppose that not having it is better than having it and disabling it... https://1drv.ms/i/s!AsOG_vH3x0TjjwYW5c6mPIoVFuxe Did you have the update...

Post Anyway to disable this pop up when charging @ lock screen? "Safety Recall Notice"

Im going to correct you: That first update you are talking about is the "green battery" update. If you had the replacement device, that update turns your battery indicator green. If you had the original device (like you do), it adds the warning that I am talking about in my post above and that...

    Post Always on display problem

Are you certain that the Note 3's hardware supports AoD? Just because it is an AMOLED display doesn't mean you should assume it works If you're certain, you can try re-flashing the ROM...
