Well, turns out I'm an idiot and accidentally had FKU greenified which...surprise! messes it up on boot. Dumb mistake.

Is anyone else having issues with the franco kernel app settings not actually "sticking" upon reboot? every time I reboot all settings are reset, even with the options set to keep the settings. No idea why. root access is granted to the app. edit: Don't be an idiot and greenify FKU by accident...

Yes, that seems to be common. You'll notice this device get warmer than basically any previous phone with a plastic back since glass is more heat conductive. I would not worry about it
