When I try to log in on the new app I get to the authorise account section, click on authorise my account only to be brought back to the sign in page. Any suggestions on what to do?

You could try flashing the magisk uninstaller zip and then reflashing magisk, see if that helps?

Maybe try clearing cache/data in the playstore/Google play services and make sure magisk hide is also enabled for play services/play store?

UPDATE: WiFi has been fixed with the help of T1mb3. According to them the WiFi Mac address which was stored in a bin folder was incorrect. This issue is planned to be fixed in the next official build should anyone else experience it.

Yes I did a clean flash without magisk multiple times and wifi didn't work. My kernel version is "4.4.241-lineage+", I didn't flash any custom kernel files. typing in su after adb shell returns "Shell was denied Superuser rights"

When I run adb root it tells me "ADB Root access is disabled by system setting - enable in Settings -> System -> Developer options" however I can't find the option in developer settings. Would it be possible to get a picture of where the setting is? I'm assuming its under one of these options...

I have, I even did a second clean flash however got the same result. As you can see the Wifi symbol in the status bar is greyed out slightly and when I go to turn it on it searches for about 5 seconds before turning itself off again.
