Ok. Nice. Where'd you get it? When the Gear VR was first released, you got it first, before it was removed from the Oculus store? Not helping... Is it somehow available elsewhere or are they going to re-release it? Just a question if anyone knows. Thanks!

OK, I figured it out, at least how to give star ratings. In the Oculus app click on the menu and then library, from there you can give them star ratings. Still not sure where they're getting the comfort ratings from though...

I must be missing something, I can't seem to find a way to read or leave reviews for apps in the Oculus app store for the Gear VR. I can see the reviews stars and seems most apps are rated "comfortable for some". Where do I go to read full reviews and write my own? I'm sure it's something...

I would think if the gear app launches when you attach it (even if only to notify you it's not compatible) there has to be a service running. Should be able to freeze it and attach the Gear without the app launching... If you have no need for the Gear apps just yet (until you can update your...

My guess is that you'll have had to make a connection at least once and will definitely need to have installed the Gear apps first. I would install the gear, run through the setup, reboot, put the phone into the gear and then remove it, install the App Quarantine app and then try it. Should work.

Try rebooting your phone and looking for the Gear VR service again. If you have the Gear installed it should be there.

You do need to be rooted. Haven't seen a way to root without tripping Knox, yet...

The Note will need this connectivity if 3rd party devs are going to use the tracking data from the headset in their apps. Way lower latency than using the phone's sensors...
