This brought back my sanity and yes reinstalling magisk after first boot even though it says already installed is necessary for root to stick after next reboot- Bad--Dog

any ideas why my magisk keeps uninstalling after rebooting pixel 3 on jan1 update... any help greatly appreciated its driving me nuts edit: never mind figured it out- Bad--Dog

I just had this happen as well... What I did was download the latest TWRP img. Then when the tool kit loads the TWRP temporarily.... While your phone is on the temporary TWRP screen go on there and manually flash the img. File that you have already downloaded on the phone... Then it will stick- Bad--Dog
