Dial *#*#7378423#*#* Then click "Service Info" and press "SIM Lock" If all the 5 words,ending with "0" means your phone is not carier locked- Bajotaz

Not impossible but highly unlikely that a new battery is doa. Check voltage, just to be sure. Have you checked all connections to the battery?- Bajotaz

There is a small chance that a new flash of the boot.img can help. If the phone has been flashed with wrong img (usualy falty root/recovery procedure), it might help.- Bajotaz

Nothing in the SD slot? (if it is, remove it) Try leaving it connected to a charger for like 2-3 hours. Connect to charger, hold power and volume up. Then let it be after the 3 vibrations.- Bajotaz

So.. The flashing was successful, no disconnections during flash? No success wilt powerbutton and volume up, wait for the vibrations. Then restart?- Bajotaz
