Not sure what exactly fixed it then, I had been tinkering for an hour or more, reflashing the rom and Gapps. When it finally worked normally I had flashed the ROM (after full wipe of course) booted once without doing any setup steps, flashed Gapps, booted once without any setup steps, then in...- bamn

Not sure, but maybe try fix contents in TWRP. This seemed to have fixed my permission issues.- bamn

Same here, not possible to restore google apps through google backup due to no SMS permission possible. After trying a couple of things it seems "Fix contents" (or something like this as my TWRP is not in English) and a couple of reboots made it possible to allow SMS permission. Phone is now...- bamn

So last time I will start about this, but I do see this exact issue mentioned regularly in the thread. Is there something we can try to prevent this from happening, or could we grab a logcat to help maybe? After the night, the FPS is not working, you can put the pin but this makes the phone...- bamn

Many thanks for your help! I am able to open all these files but I cannot change the values and safe. Changing the file name or permissions also gives an error. I am rooted/unlocked and I tried different root enabled file managers and the echo/chmod command through terminal/tasker. All...- bamn
