yes, I just went to device manager, found my phone, and uninstalled the drivers, then used the adb program from the OP to install the drivers.

I am having the same experience. I am amazed at how much smoother the phone runs. I also like the ability to "turn off" apps in the app drawer. thanks again for the tutorial, you saved my phone. lol

I had the same problem. I uninstalled all the drivers through device manager, and started the whole process from the beginning and it worked first shot

yeah i went further down the page and used the link to carls urdroid. i was having issues with "xxxxxx process has stopped working" errors so i booted into recovery and did a factory reset/ cache wipe and it fixed my problems. now to root, busy box, safe strap, then flash. thanks for the help.
