Post Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed

OK, hopefully the screen shots will come through. I'm on CSD1 because someone told me that the updates are cumulative (I'm wondering if that was wrong or not). I never actually did flash CSAA.

Post Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed

No, when I was on 8.1.0, for whatever reason, the OTA would never work... I saw months of security updates & finally the big Pie update (CSAA if I recall correctly) come out, but my phone would never OTA them... so finally I got ticked wanted to flash it directly. Flashed the Pie update, but...

Post Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed

THANKS! That's what I thought - just wanted someone else to confirm before I drive myself nuts. I'm going to give back-flashing (if that's even a word) in a couple of days - I'm on-call tonight & tomorrow night so will need the phone available to ring at all times - and then hopefully the OTA...

Post Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed

I'm in the USA. Please remind me: if I want to flash the ROM but don't want to wipe all my settings, which file am I omitting from ODIN flashing?

Post Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed

Quick question - are you guys trying to flash "official"/stock ROMs, or root-able ROMs? My AT&T Note 9 for some reason would never do OTA's, so I had to find the stock (but it was for VZW, so I was informed to not flash the CSC), but of course flashing the others did a full wipe/reset...

Post ATT Note9 Stuck on N960USQU1CSAA

I'm downloading this file now (thanks for the link) - am I correct in assuming that this particular file is specific for AT&T-carrier-branded Note9's? I've been pulling my hair out (what little I have left), since I got this phone, it's NEVER received an OTA update - EVER. After much trial...

Post ATT customer service swears Oreo is coming...

And, as if by magic, the Android fairies sprinkled "brains" dust on AT&T, and we have a rollout. My Oreo just installed earlier today. As Jeremiah said, I don't see too much of a cosmetic difference (a few things so far), but I'm just hoping Oreo gives better battery life (HA!)...

Post ATT customer service swears Oreo is coming...

In my experience, AT&T has been traditionally the LAST to release updates, never the first. Their goal, it seems, is to get you to dump your phone within a year, so you have the "latest & greatest", when all they really want is more new phone sales. Might be a late Christmas present... but I'm not holding my breath. Sent from my SM-G955U using XDA Premium HD app

Post AT&T specific bloat app list.

I have the stock FW, current OTA updates, and most (not all) bloatware deliberately disabled. I'm averaging 12-16 hr from 100% to 15%, depending on SOT, with very little to no lag. Damn, I don't know what I'm doing wrong! :) Sent from my SM-G955U using XDA Premium HD app

Post Carrier throttling data on Netflix, YouTube, etc.

I haven't noticed a bit of throttling when I'm streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, or Hulu using AT&T data... I don't do it a lot (especially since I can download videos on Netflix or Amazon) but I stream enough to be able to clock speeds. I agree it's not likely that it's...

    Post Music player edge lighting.

I'd love to see it. I use edge lighting, but purposely refused to d/l the Samsung player because I use Spotify way too much. But I can see where constant edge light during music play can be both annoying and a possible battery drain. Sent from my SM-G955U using XDA Premium HD app

Post What did the AT&T salesman install on my phone?

I got my AT&T-carrier phone from Best Buy (as I usually do) and saw everything the tech did from start to finish, no extra apps loaded. Even when I used to buy directly through an AT&T company store, no one ever tried that. I'd be suspicious, too, especially if they didn't tell you what they...

Post Turn off Camera Battery temp to high

Interesting... I only got a "battery temp" warning once, when I got in my car on a 92*F day with very high humidity and tried to plug in to charge. Recently, had been shooting video for over two hours straight (during a Twenty One Pilots concert) and never had the battery heat up... I have a US...
