Post Working root instructions for Verizon Pixel 4 XL

Yeah man, I bought a Pixel 2 XL just over 2 years ago from Verizon and ran into this same situation. Never obtained root. Pissed me off to no end. Phone is screwed up right now, looking at upgrades, and that's EXACTLY why I'm here right now... researching to make sure I can root before I buy...

Thread Any LCD / digitizer assembly replacement suggestions?

Broke my screen and damaged to lcd. Will power on but got a bunch of lines / colors so pretty much unusable at this point. Was looking online to find an OEM replacement digitizer assembly. Anyone been down this path and can recommend a place to buy? I've replaced screens / digitizer etc before...

This works for me on wireless, but from my wired (ethernet) desktop I get "device offline". Any ideas? Thanks.

Post Custom ROMs... Are they still worth it?

Very much agreed about the being a developer part. I'd love to spend more time learning Android development, but my day job / family / house keeps me beyond busy.

    Post Cypher OS 7.1.1

When I opened substratum it said that I was running a "dangerous rom" and installing an overlays would cause a bootloop. (Thanks for the warning, substratum!)

Post [ROM][6.0.1][r22][Official] Exodus Android 6 for Moto X Style(Pure) Clark

Thanks for yourhelp. It didn't dawn on me that I may be using a newer version of fastboot. I'm not sure that it should, but using the older version seems to have worked much better!

Post [ROM][6.0.1][r22][Official] Exodus Android 6 for Moto X Style(Pure) Clark

Fresh flashed exodus yesterday, but when I try to flash radio I'm getting some weird errors. Have I messed up some partitions or something? FYI, back on stock now with radio working fine. Anyone know what the errors below are about?

Thank you. After some issues with a weird error, no-slot:modem or something like that, I had to reflash the stock image, modem, etc. but still had the same issue. I'm traveling this week so I'll experiment more when I get back home.

That is the version number, but doesn't say SUPER_NA. I think it came from the last time I flashed stock though. Where can I find that specific version?

I'm having an issue with phone calls. Everyone I talk to says it sounds like I'm breaking up and they can hardly hear me. I'm on Verizon and have set the Preferred Network Type to LTE/CDMA. Any help would be much appreciated.

Post Custom ROMs... Are they still worth it?

I've been on Exodus for the last couple of weeks as I couldn't get Substratum to work properly on stock. It seems to be very stable, has nice features, and no need to reboot after applying substratum themes. I'm pretty happy with it. I don't use speakerphone much so wasn't aware of that issue.

Post Moto X Pure/Style vs Google Pixel Phone XL

I came from the Nexus 6 to MXPE after my last screen break and wanted something a little smaller. I've been a little disappointed in the updates to this phone and was thinking about picking up another Nexus device. The Pixel is just not it. It's aimed at iPhone users IMO. I've been looking...

Using turbo and really looking it. Was going to try this too. Question, I'm a senior level programmer with experience in several languages from .net to java, c, etc. Mostly windows and web programming. How difficult is the android world to pick up?
