I did that too .. My phone is SOOO much faster and working like a charm now

I recieved OTA update to a backup S7 i just picked up ... It is now running OREO but the phone is annoyingly slow .. jerky and does not switch between even 2-3 apps easily .. what should I do ? is there a way to downgrade and then install some custom rom which is faster ? Looking for advice.

Usage so far on mm

You need to have balls of steel to attempt install a 818N rom on 818P .. but it works ... :D

happy to report that the upgrade worked fine on the H818P ... I have LTE and am able to make phone calls ... Please note that I am on 1800 mhz for LTE and have not tried any other bands ...

so based on what whc.faith said .. I can flash my 818P with the N rom and it works ... worst case scenario I will not have a working modem .. and can flash back to 5.1 correct ? If the answer is yes - I will attempt it

If you read his post its a H818N hong kong version ... not sure about flashing over root but that should not matter since you are flashing a kdz

Waiting for a confirmation if I can flash my 818p using this method anybody ??

Got ota but it did not install due to root ... Do I need to flash kdz and then upgrade ?? Is it worth it ??

I called LG when this happened to me in Dubai . They replaced the back for me under warranty.
