Thanks worked perfectly. Got rid of O2's startup and shutdown nonsense. Boots quicker as the O2 startup was a bit drawn out. Never had a shutdown sound before but I suppose there was never originally enough room. Doomlords easy root had to get rid of google maps when rooting which left 6.5 meg...

Yes I've seen that but there seems to be a fair few users saying that despite the way to "re-enable" it, it doesn't always seem to work. So am I right in thinking the GT-I9100P is basically the same as the GT-I9100 with NFC tacked on, while other models like GT-I9100G have different "innards"...

There seems to be a distinct lack of firmware for my GT-I9100P despite most of the S2's available in shops and through contracts are now that model.
