Interesting I seem to have a similar issue, i've been using the same charger for years and i thought the charging cable had pulled loose and switched to an ipad charger last week today i found it flat and got the green orange pattern as reported. I eventually found plugged into my mac it stayed...
in trouble again earlier this evening it decided to do something strange with the desktop. I have access to the pull down menu's at the top but the desktop has turned black and only the left triangle is showing up the circle and square are missing meaning i can't do much with it. I guess i can...

Still waiting for it here in Ireland, there are 2 issues with getting the update, first one is that you need to be network unlocked to side load it,from what I have read.
My provider will unlock after 6 months if i have spent 127 euro in credit on the phone. Most places seem to want 40 euro to...

Somewhere in this thread I think I? posted something for resizing the disk image probably with gparted. Your limited on space on the internal flash but 3gb is pretty much reasonable for ubuntu
You could delete the android image and go pure ubuntu. I just had to do that as my tablet got sat...
caress the screen
The g9 screen isn't the best, being plastic and not glass like many other tablets and for a long time i've been plagued by ghost presses. I was reading a review of the g9 and surprisingly I found the solution. If you press the screen buttons it causes the screen to distort...

The whole screen is one big...
no switched to julies and installed XFCE on top. Just installed Siemens Logo plc programming IDE on the Archos G9 it's Java based and they supply for Windows, Mac and Linux (x86) the JRE that the installer sets up doesn't work but the open-jre for ubuntu does :) Probably first person to do that...

interesting way they are doing it by using mtev as the default driver for what they find and evdev for keyboard mouse , it's the complete opposite of what we have in ubuntu.
where evdev tries to drive everything and we specifically tell the system to use mtdev to drive the touchscreen.
I've...
