I am currently on stock ROM with root and custom kernel (ElementalX). Is there anything special I need to do other than follow the "Clean install" instructions on the first page? I do not care if my kernel gets overwritten, nor if I lose root. Thanks,

I unenrolled in the beta program which pushed me back to 7.0, then flashed OTA to 7.1.1, unlocked bootloader, then flashed TWRC, then SuperSu, then kernel manager. Now I am done and happy :)

FAQ doesn't mention that auto brightness must be enabled as far as I saw. I think that may be one of the key ingredients, and the FAQ doesn't currently have that in the 'worded explanation'.

The magnet is pretty weak. I considered this as well, but I have been using the SD card and haven't had any issues. Only used it for a week, but no problems so far. It was pretty cheap (>10$ i believe) so it's worth a check if it comes back in stock
