    Post [ROM][5X][7.1.2_r24]★ Pure Nexus ★ Substratum | Fi | WiFi Calling ★[07/25/17]

I am currently on stock ROM with root and custom kernel (ElementalX). Is there anything special I need to do other than follow the "Clean install" instructions on the first page? I do not care if my kernel gets overwritten, nor if I lose root. Thanks,

Post How to gracefully get off DP2

I unenrolled in the beta program which pushed me back to 7.0, then flashed OTA to 7.1.1, unlocked bootloader, then flashed TWRC, then SuperSu, then kernel manager. Now I am done and happy :)

Thread How to gracefully get off DP2

Hi all, I'm currently on DP2 of 7.1.1 and I'd like to root my phone and install elementalX and possibly custom ROMS. Once I am in a standard configuration I'm comfortable rooting and such, but I am unsure if I need to get off DP2 before doing so, and if I do need to get off DP2, I am not sure...

    Post [Rom] AOKP(Jellybean 4.2.2) | Task650 (6.24.13) AT&T

FAQ doesn't mention that auto brightness must be enabled as far as I saw. I think that may be one of the key ingredients, and the FAQ doesn't currently have that in the 'worded explanation'.

    Post [Rom] AOKP(Jellybean 4.2.2) | Task650 (6.24.13) AT&T

Not sure if you read my entire post, but I did try both the methods mentioned. I have rebooted. I 'think' the auto brightness may have enabled it, I just enabled that and rebooted and it seems to have stuck. I generally prefer user control on the brightness, but that's a fairly small price to...

    Post [Rom] AOKP(Jellybean 4.2.2) | Task650 (6.24.13) AT&T

Any progress on the capacitive lights? CM9 worked fine, flashed to this and tried the two metods (both under sensors, and custom back light settings) and nothing seems to stick after a single lock/unlock screen. On 4/8 upload, not sure if I should switch to 4/9 or if there is something else I...

Post Vote up/ Vote down button

If this is the intended usage, I am extremely concerned. I would like it as a quick guide for how useful a post is; lets say someone says to do an adb command that will hardbrick your phone, but there's 100:1 downvote:upvote ratio, no one is going to use the command. Conversely, it could get...

    Post Epic case/wallet

This has been debated. Tested on Mythbusters and found that you needed an incredibly strong magnet to wipe the data off the creditcard strip. I don't believe that your phone could produce strong enough magnetic fields that it'd wipe the data from a card, but it could be possible if something...

The magnet is pretty weak. I considered this as well, but I have been using the SD card and haven't had any issues. Only used it for a week, but no problems so far. It was pretty cheap (>10$ i believe) so it's worth a check if it comes back in stock

    Post Epic case/wallet

Generally I fold it, or use it like a book. Both work well, just depends on what exactly I am doing. I set it on a table like a book usually. Or fold it to make a phone call. I honestly haven't taken many pictures since the case, but it's really easy to hold like a book and isn't really an...

    Thread Epic case/wallet

Bought this case from amazon recently and I just wanted to share that it's amazing. I always hated a wallet AND phone in my pocket. I always combined them (phone into wallet, or credit cards in case for phone) and this is the perfect combination for me. Allows for a great protective case...

    Post replaced my screen yesterday

Unfortunately I was far too rushed, but i used the following pictures/tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253969 The only part this didn't cover was the removal of the glass from the housing, which I winged. The key to glass removal was the heat gun, and pushing from...
