This might sound strange, but it worked for the nonresponsive TWRP. Immediately after the twrp splash/welcome screen appears, tap the screen. After that, it should work fine. Flashed magisk, and finally, rooted. Found the solution in 4pda.ru

That's true, unless I'd previously given command from adb to boot into recovery. I've never had problems rooting any of my previous devices, but I'm puzzled by this one. I wanted to try to flash recovery from sp, but I'm having trouble with vcom drivers. SP doesn't even register the device.

Thank you for this rom. Flashed it on Tesla Smartphone 6.1, which is an actual clone of Paris. Went from 5.1 to MM, no problem. Seems to have better battery management. No problems so far.

As I mentioned, it said it was impossible to do at the time, so I don't think it would help you anyway.

If I'm not mistaken, I think I've read it was impossible to flash lower version of firmware. I think it was eloygomez's post in actualiza.
