I am getting the same error. I have on a Verizon Galaxy Nexus with an unlocked bootloader and rooter but everything else completely stock.

The market option won't work for me since the screen is already broken. I cannot connect to it with ADB since I would have to enable USB Debug and while the touch screen still functions, what I am selection is a mystery.

Assurion is replacing the phone. I need the text messages before I send the old phone back to them. I am checking phone repair shops in my area, maybe someone has the parts and can replace the screen and I will just end up paying for the repair and the fee Assurion will charge me for not...

I need to retrieve my Text Messages off of my old HTC Sensation that has a broken LCD. The software is stock ... I need this for court on Thursday or I am going to be in some trouble. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
