When I was updating in Stock recovery it hung there for about 3 or 4 mins then started up again. If this is what ur seeing give it a few mins. Sent from my SPH-L900 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Rooted and updated! If your rooted make sure you have a stock rom (possibly your original/stock backup, if you made one) and download stock recovery, add the zip file to your external sd and flash. Good to go.
