    Post Computerfreek274_1.0.8 Update Marshmallow 6.0.1 Global,De-bloated,Root,Volte, 5/29/17

I just faced the same decision about a month ago. I love my Droid Turbo with Marshmallow 6.0.1 but it was time to move on. After much research I decided on the Verizon LG V30 primarily due to the great following and support on this site. In particular, ChazzMatt's endorsement made the decision a...

Thanks John. I'll check it out. Another option to reboot to recovery is through the TWRP app, but that involves three or four clicks.

Post [ROM/FW][STOCK][PIE] LG V30 (Joan) VS996 Verizon 30c TWRP flashable firmware ROM

Yes. In TWRP I dirty flashed to 30c and did not wipe anything or clear dalvik/cache. Upon restart even the launcher remained intact with chosen widgets and icons, etc. Not all settings remained though. Some apps wanted me to log in again with username and password (like Periscope, for example)...

Post [ROM/FW][STOCK][PIE] LG V30 (Joan) VS996 Verizon 30c TWRP flashable firmware ROM

Jimmy, On second read maybe I didn't answer your question. Upon executing, the tool I referred to above identified about 40 apps on my phone it considered bloatware. I didn't agree with a few but added a few of my own. It provided an exportable XLM file of all disabled apps which I converted to...

Post [ROM/FW][STOCK][PIE] LG V30 (Joan) VS996 Verizon 30c TWRP flashable firmware ROM

Hi Jimmy, In my research on this phone I came upon a YouTube video, How to disable apps and bloatware - LG V30. . The tool he downloads from the Play Store is called Package Disabler Pro for LG. It costs a couple of bucks but seems to work fine on the LG V30 with Pie. I don't know that it works...

VS996 Verizon 30c experience The following is a brief summary of my experience with this ROM. I started with a new Verizon VS996 which came stock with Oreo and a recent security patch. I followed ChazzMatt’s WTF V30/V30+/V30S Bootloader Unlock and Root instructions carefully which included...

    Post Computerfreek274_1.0.8 Update Marshmallow 6.0.1 Global,De-bloated,Root,Volte, 5/29/17

Yes, I did install Xposed as Systemless. But now if I activate Xposed and reboot, Magisk's SafetyNet fails. Oh, well. I'll keep playing with it.

OK. Installed Xposed apk via ES File Explorer and Teamwin. Ultra-slow reboot as Xposed "Optimized" 229 apps on my phone. SafetyNet Failed but when I select Xposed status to be "inactive" SafteyNet passes. Am I good to go? Now I have to figure out how Xposed works. I don't know much about...

Have not installed Xposed yet so that is not a factor. Uninstalled Majisk, cleared dalvik/cache and reinstalled. I can get "SafetyNet Passed" if I select "Hide Majisk" in Settings, otherwise I get same "Failed" message as before. Is that how it is supposed to work?

    Post Computerfreek274_1.0.8 Update Marshmallow 6.0.1 Global,De-bloated,Root,Volte, 5/29/17

Thanks for the links. I previously had a clean install of 1.07 rooted with SuperSU. Removed root and dirty flashed 1.08, downloaded Magisk Manager from PlayStore and rooted with Magisk v12.0. I get the error message, "SafetyNet Failed: CTS profile mismatch." Any suggestions from the experts...

That is great news Brian. Can you provide a link to the version magisk and systemless Xposed that you used? Thanks!

    Post Computerfreek274_1.0.8 Update Marshmallow 6.0.1 Global,De-bloated,Root,Volte, 5/29/17

Thanks John. For what it's worth, I did a little more research and I see that it is Marshmallow that Ivona TTS is not compatable with. But apparently I can manually strip the apk out of my old phone and it will run in Marshmallow if manually installed. I will give it a shot and let others...

Ivona TTS HQ will not install? I am new to the Verizon Droid Turbo and this ROM having installed it just a few days ago. So far, so good. I am enjoying it all very much. But after transferring my apps over from my old phone, IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ did not install. When I tried to install it...
