Will it be supported at some point? Or is it a general oreo thing? Booting into twrp would make applying OTAs much easier in combination with magisk.

Change the date of the tab to something in 2017, then it should work. But I don't know if it is compatible with the tab because I tried to update with flashfire but it didn't recognize the ota and says unknown manufacturer in the overview.
