I really appreciate your help and you are right that did work but I read a few post that said it didn't is why I didn't try sooner. They must have done something different. I actually used a mod from Magisk for tether that did same thing automatically with one touch of a button. Just not enough...

I have a Pixel 2 XL and am on Verizon grandfathered unlimited. I believe I have made a bad mistake buying it because no way to use tethering like poeple do on the first Pixel phones. I can hook up to my windows 10 desktop with Pdanet by USB and turn on it's hotspot to get on my other devices...
