Under load, the SD808 can get pretty warm. Add to that the fact that MIUI (in all of its various forms) is a steaming, overheated pile of rhinoceros feces and you have a terrible combination just asking for heating problems. TS CM13 does a pretty good job of mitigating the software issues...

Yup - when buying Chinese electronics outside of the supported market, there are risks. Those risks are greatly offset by the price. If you still need a display, GearBest has been advertising OEM replacement assemblies for about 35- 40 bucks.

I just noticed the sticker on the back of mine says TD-LTE. I'm also in Europe, using bands 3/7 and it works fine. I've been using it for about a week and a half and LTE reception seems to be on par with my N5 and 2nd gen Moto X

Interesting. I find with the Mi4c that the pictures come out ok only if taken in full daylight and the subject is perfectly still. The N5 camera captures objects in motion. The Mi4c camera seems to be on par with most other midrange Chinese phones. Coming from a Nexus 5, everything about this phone is an upgrade, except the camera - which is a shame because it's not like the N5 had the best camera ever - but it was still better under most conditions than the Mi4c

That happened to me as well. I ended up using the flash tool to downgrade. Just follow the instruction in the OP and it should work fine.

The SD808 can generate a pretty significant amount of heat. I don't do much gaming. I haven't noticed any excessive heat when watching videos with this ROM. With MIUI, the phone was in a pretty constant state of warmth whenever the screen was on. With CM, it's been pretty cool under most conditions.

One of the most common questions I see about ROMs is 'how is the battery life'. - so I figured I would chime in here. ~14 hours since the last charge, 25% battery left and 5:45 SOT. WiFi, data, BT and location services on. Screen at 50% with the auto/adaptive brightness.

I wouldn't go so far as to say its useless. It charges the phone and allows for data transfer. Those are fairly useful things.
