    Post [ROM][unlocked][karnak] Lineage-16.0[04 JUNE 2020]

To follow up: installing an earlier gapps did not help the problem with GMail, YouTube, and others crashing. Maybe it requires gapps being installed over a fresh install. maybe it's because the recommended 1/2019 gapps are no longer available for download (not that I could see). At any rate...

    Post [ROM][unlocked][karnak] Lineage-16.0[04 JUNE 2020]

Thank you for your hard work on this ROM; I love it! I'm using it because I want to be able to receive Google Voice calls and Google apps sideloaded onto FireOS don't seem to properly send push notifications. They do on this ROM. I've noticed that after a couple of weeks, *some* of the gapps...

Post [ROM][4.4.4][EXT4/F2FS] Unofficial SlimKat 9.1 (grouper)

Just want to add my thanks to LordNerevar. I use my N7 in the audio dock and it makes an ideal bedside stereo/clock/alarm/e-reader/2:30 am Facebook browser. I don't know of any other Android tablets with that capability, so I'm trying to keep this mighty mite going as long as I possibly can.

    Post B355 Update

I was only able to install it with stock. Even then, it had to be the full install, not the OTA update. That install locks the bootloader and unroots; so I then had to re-unlock, which of course wipes the entire device, and then restore from a Google and Titanium backup. Not sure updating is...

    Post TWRP (greatslon mod)

I'd recommend trying the OTA again. As I recall, mine failed during the first attempt, but succeeded upon retrying it. I don't know why, or whether I somehow got lucky on a one-time basis, or if it just takes two attempts. All I know is that it did work, that time, that way, for me. Good luck!

    Post TWRP (greatslon mod)

I think most manufacturers require that you use their proprietary recovery to install their updates. But because this device has two different recoveries, there's an option to let you keep TWRP and also install OTA updates. When you flash TWRP, flash it to the "recovery2" partition, not the...

Post Huawei Mediapad M3 won't update

Not certain, but I think the key might be in the new software version identifier. Looks like it may be intended to upgrade a device with 351 to version 352. If you are running 350, it might be failing on the initial version check. I can't provide specific instructions, but you might try...

Post B353 Update with unlocked bootloader

Not sure, but I think the recovery and recovery2 recoveries are different. I think the Huawei recovery2 is an emergency restore utility, which I opted to overwrite with TWRP. (It's the one you can run using vol-up at the bootloader unlocked warning page.) The normal Huawei recovery is the usual...

Post B353 Update with unlocked bootloader

My M3 is unlocked. The first attempt at the OTA update failed for reasons I don't know. But I initiated the download again and the second time it installed. I had to re-root afterward, but the update *did not* re-lock the bootloader, thankfully. [Edit] My partition setup is probably different...

Post Anyone installed B352 update successfully?

This time around I flashed TWRP on recovery2, not the standard recovery partition. I'm hoping that leaves the stock recovery in place to install OTA updates normally if and when there's another update. Naturally, there's no guarantee it still won't re-lock the bootloader...

I believe the 2.5 GB one has the two files. That's the one I flashed using TWRP.

No idea--I don't use it, so never applied it in the first place. Sorry.

My tablet wasn't wiped after the update. But the boot loader was locked; unlocking it wiped the tablet. I restored from backup, but there's still a lot of manual setup after that, since many apps (including email) don't backup and restore their settings and accounts properly.

Post Anyone installed B352 update successfully?

Yes, I got TWRP installed. I used the one in the last link in greatslon's post: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=125388:highfive: I used the file that's about two-thirds of the way down the page, with "BTV-W09_5" in its name.

Downloaded the two zip files. Rebooted into TWRP (greatslon 5 version). First flashed update.zip, then immediately flashed the other one. Rebooted and the update was in place, though there bootloader was now locked and stock recovery in place of TWRP.
