    Yeah, just choose to download the full rom press reboot and it'll upgrade, then flash TWRP and Magisk again.

    I just use the updater app, it reboots, and then proceeds to flash and remove TWRP and Magisk. The only time that I've used TWRP is to flash Magisk.

    Used the phone sparingly, but did have some gaming in between, hence the few big dips in the timeline. Charged back to 100% in about 2hrs without using a QC enabled charger.

    Bound and unlocked on v9.0.2.0 global stable just fine on my gold 64gb Mi Max 2 three days after it arrived. Just needed to wait the 72hrs.

    So, worst case scenario I'll still need to TWRP and install that way. Is the current TWRP compatible with MIUI 9 on the mi max 2? MIUI 9 has been rolled out the the Max 2 locally.

    I ordered mine yesterday during the cyber monday sale on gearbest, gold 64gb version is $189.99 for another 2 days and 7ish hrs of this post. Black 64gb version is $219.99, didn't really care about color as I'll put a case on it anyways so I chose to save the $30 bux.
