I agree on if you know how to flash ROMs you should mostly have no problems. I only thing new to me was the vendor img and did read up on how to flash it and the only stepped I missed was the vendor image but did get that to work, but figured it out :) my only problem is getting superSU to...

So I got the rom installed successfully and so far am loving it and also installed ElementalX-P-1.03 and everything is working great, but I couldn't get SuperSU installed what version do I need to download it and how do you flash? Is it a TWRP zip or am img flashed in the bootloader?

Well I have had my verizon G3 since August of 2014 so it's been rooted ever since I got it . But from what I have seen on forms. You should be able to downgrade the software from the latest to older ones then root and install twrp. Unless the latest update blocks that Sent from my LG-VS985...

It depends on what you want to do with your phone. What I mean by that is so you want custom roms? Or at least want to root and install a custom recovery? Idk about ATT but I'm on Verizon and a lot of there phones have locked bootloader or no way to loki hack and install a custom recovery so...

I know there way some kind of bug with cm 13 and gapps. When I upgraded I Clean flashed and used nano gapps and it seemed to work. Have you tired flashing then then wiping cache/dalvik cache? Sent from my LG-VS985 using Tapatalk
