Hi there, I'm using a Sensation, and also having this problem. It's really most annoying.Any idea how widespread this problem is, or if it is something that Google has disabled deliberately?

So was there a solution to the problem found? Or would installing a custom ROM sort the problem out? Or a factory reset?

Well, I'm getting the message after every reboot, that's why I'm thinking about resetting and starting out fresh. Might actually also solve another issue I'm having with data usage too. So to clear dalvik (what actually is that?) and cache, I'd have to enter bootloader? Not going back to GB...

What do you mean by "dalvik"? and how do you clear the cache? I upgraded from GB. I'm half tempted to now do a factory reset and start from scratch. So the missing messages tab is an ICS quirk, and not something I've done? Thanks :)

Post ICS upgrade problems. Ok, I've done the official upgrade to ICS, after I did S-Off. Now every time I boot up, I get the message as it starts "Android is upgrading - Optimizing applications x of y" before it gets to the lockscreen. I'm assuming this is not normal? Plus all my notification...
