    Custom kernels, nope since they need to be signed. Custom Roms: yes. I can personally tell you that there is at least 1 in the works ;)

    It's possible. Definitely not easy (there are ~10 files that need modifications), but I ported it to the S3 back when it originally came out S5. It's a lot of copy pasting more than modifying existing smali honestly

    That's not exactly how it works, his aboot wasn't modified in the process. He simply flashed a signed kernel created for internal use that gives you slightly more control over the system.

    It's an engineering boot.img (kernel+some init scripts), not aboot (bootloader). Flashing it won't let you flash unsigned images. We need an engineering aboot for that. The good news is that since a boot.img was leaked, chances are the aboot could get leaked too
