I don't think that wouldn't really help. The problem with that is the segment with the boot animation actually goes by just as fast on both phones. It's just portion with the Samsung logo that takes forever really... I should probably add that to the OP. Also, IIRC if I were to delete the boot...

Love the new battery. Pulls the notification bar together splendidly.

I like it. It's simple and blends in well. The current one, while pretty nice, sticks out like a sore thumb and is a little too gaudy IMO. I tried to get through editing all the pngs to match but I don't seem to have the patience to get through them all.
