    Some mmc drivers have problems with the timings of some cards ; e.g. my Nook Simple Touch has problems with class 10 cards and logs similar errors. I swapped a class 6 card in instead, and the problems went away.

    You should have updated to 1.2.1 THEN rooted, as rooting replaces some files rather than patching them. Maybe that's what happened.
