I took me a while to figure out that since flashing Katkiss, I cannot use wifi channels 12 and 13 anymore. I suppose this has to do with wifi region restrictions in the US Can the wifi region setting be changed?

There are links in this thread to various modem.bin files, but if needed you can extract them from Samsung firmware updates as well. Once your phone is in recovery mode (vol down), you open a modem.bin file with the "phone" button in Odin and press start :) Just be very careful what you flash...

I always flashed my modems from Odin, so no root or recovery is involved then.

I'm using Waze for GPS on 5.5.5, without any fix, and it works perfect so far.

Has anyone tried to use an OTG cable to connect an usb stick? I cannot get it work (now running 5.5.3). There even seem to be no kernel messages when plugging it in. Edit: My devices dont get power from the usb cable. In the samsung stock ROM, one had to enable "dock mode" for that maybe?

I can confirm that latest TWRP 2.8.7.0 works erratically. I now use 2.7.0.0 with RR ROM and that works flawlessly.
