Hi. That's a "feature" of the android stock roms even since 4.2 which cannot be turned off. If you want to turn it off you have to use a custom launcher like Nova which I use. Nova launcher has an option to remove those annoying shadows at the top or bottom of the screen.

Will give it a try for a few days until a more stable release will be available. Thank you.

That's not a problem. I can live with it :). Thank you for trying.

I don't know that much about android roms to updated the sources and recompile the rom. Thank you anyway. Regarding the uploading, it's not necessary since probably there will be another version tomorrow, so it should be very short lived :)

I don't argue with that. Just found it on google. :) If you succeed, can you post some basic steps to follow if I decide to try it? Thank you.

If you succeed, could you please upload a screenshot with transparent incoming call? Maybe others will like it and will be included after all :)

Is it possible to make it completely transparent instead of semi transparent? It's annoying that we have such a big screen and the picture for the caller is blocked by the answering stuff. Or at least, does anybody know a mod that can be used do that? L.E. It seems to be quite easy for someone...

Hi. For rooting and installing a custom ROM, the easy way is to use the Nexus toolkit: http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/ It will automatically download the files need for rooting the phone once you set the phone model :) First you have to install the proper drivers (Full driver installation guide)...

Thanks for your answer. Could you please tell me if it's possible to add new buttons to the navigation bar or to change the existing ones? Also, is the navigation bar resizable? I want to make it a bit smaller because it's too big as default.

Hi, I was until now on AOKP rom which is still on 4.2. The problem is that after the official 4.3 update was released, my GNex was consuming data traffic (and battery) like hell because it tried to download the update from Google (and of course it could not install it over the custom rom)...

Thanks. And another question: do I need to wipe everything before updating? Or just update over without wiping?
