That's pretty much exactly what I did, I booted the twrp img to flash twrp 3.2.2, then flashed kernel and magisk, then bootlooped. Twrp persisted through the bootloop, then I gave up lol.

To the people who got daydream working, how did you install it from the Play Store? Mine says it's incompatible. Edit: Never mind, it randomly started working.

+1 this. Ninety percent of the time battery issues are cause by the apps people have on their phones and not the phone itself. I have great battery life without Facebook installed, I just use Chrome. I even have Snapchat. Just gotta know how to balance out your battery/performance on the fly.
