You can download and try S Secure on apkmirror. I'm also using UBS apps and it works on my Galaxy S7 without problems. Just add Magisk Manager to the mask list and activate the masking. You should additionally try deleting both logs in Magisk Manager. This also caused sometimes issues with UBS apps.

Open Magisk Manager, go to settings and tap on Hide Magisk Manager. If your banking app doesn't work right away try a restart. If it still doesn't work try to mask Magisk Manager with S Secure or similiar apps.

I don't think that it depends what custom rom you have, it's more about what root method you use (Magisk or SuperSU) and that you pass SafetyNet. You can just use Magisk and select your banking apps in Magisk Hide. Be sure to disable Systemless Xposed in Magisk if you use it because it breaks...
