The problem with this though is that Slickdeals isn't the actual domain that gets blocked it's a bunch of different affiliate domains. I'd imagine it would take quite a while before you get them all but it will work eventually

I setup a pihole and a VPN server at home and use the VPN when I want ad blocking. Makes it much easier to turn on and off for stuff like Slickdeals, or just as easy to whitelist it. There's also the benefit of not needing root so my wife can use it too without too much issue

I really don't want to come off as entitled it anything like that but I'm just curious how optimistic you are that root will be possible. I'm trying to decide between this and the pixel 4 on Black Friday and would rather go this but root is still pretty important to me

Wait does that mean that sprint will actually unlock the phone for you? If they do, is root possible or would someone still have to develop something for it?

You have to go to sideload in recovery before you start it. If you type adb devices, you probably won't see any devices shown.

Unfortunately I''ve tried both clearing data and uninstalling Inbox, as well as a clean install of the ROM and still no joy. I changed to a different ROM and it is working now, so something is going on with the ROM and my account it seems.
