I think it uses the native hotspot. go to : settings , connections, hotspot and turn on there

look in the General section under the heading 'directory' you'll find all the roms, kernels modems, etc.

settings, my device, sound, ( make sure system sounds aren't checked), then go to volume and turn the 'system' slider all the way down. that should get rid of it . :)

Yesterday when I checked it I was at 11 plus hours and still at 72% battery. I have a spare battery and charger so battery life is not my main concern but it has been very good so far. And, the ROM is AWESOME! Jmho. Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium

I ventured over to stock rooted MF9 for about a day but other than being able to move apps I wasn't real impressed. Battery life was not as good and it's not as smooth and slick as this ROM, so I'm back and just waiting for this to be updated to MF9. Thanks for a great rom. Dana
