Post Verizon Forced Stealth OTA - Removed Root on S5 BPB1

I'm surprised there isn't anyone else reporting this. It seems VZW has a secondary backdoor into the stock firmware that isn't SDM or Knox. I didn't have the Verizon app installed either. On a different build on another S5 phone, the Verizon app asked for root from SU, and I shut it down...

Thread Verizon Forced Stealth OTA - Removed Root on S5 BPB1

The other day I swapped my batteries an upon reboot, got a splash screen indicating an update was being installed. I had been rooted for over two years and I had SDM frozen via Titanium Backup. There was no confirmation prompt or ability to defer the update offered. After boot, SU had been...

    Post S.onyTablet.S v3.0 [FLASHER] - Tab S/P/Xperia fws! new: Xperia Tab JB 4.1.1 !!!!!!!

Same success here. Ran 2.4 script after full factory reset, everything came up clean the first time. I now have "Guest Mode" so my tablet can also be the coffee table remote for the home media system, without giving everyone access to my email :) Thanks, Condi!

    Post S.onyTablet.S v3.0 [FLASHER] - Tab S/P/Xperia fws! new: Xperia Tab JB 4.1.1 !!!!!!!

I rooted with the BinAry script here There doesn't seem to be anything strange in my execution of the script. Everything appears to work, no suspicious behavior. Other than the stock Media Remote icon disappearing from the bottom center quick launch area, everything seems to be the same -- just...

    Post Revolution off the shelves

I think you're in for a treat with the RAZR....about 8 mainstream roms in active development, latest ICS, easy root, utilities, support on multiple sites outside XDA. ...oh, and did I mention the battery life? I barely think about it anymore....instead of running from outlet to outlet with a...

Post [Q] Razr Maxx or wait?

I bought mine two weeks ago off of Ebay for $411 shipped. It was literally mint. Took it down to Verizon store to swap out existing SIM for the micro SIM the RAZR needs, they popped it in, turned it on and everything has been flawless since. Coming from an LG Revolution, it's like going from a...

    Post Jumping ship

Well...for people looking to jump ship who have concern about the money, there's about a $250 difference. Battery life is huge for me, and I've missed that battleship-solid build quality I always had with Motorola. For my $400, it made no sense to suffer with a C-minus phone any longer. I run...
