Post [REF]Google Glass Stock OTA URLs

Incorrect. I was running vanilla XE12. I previously have run a rooted bootloader / clockwork mod / modified XE12 w/ su binary, etc. But in an attempt to get the 12.1 and 16 updates, I fastboot wipe-loaded the XE12 image. The fastboot updates above were from me trying to upgrade from...

Post [REF]Google Glass Stock OTA URLs

So I saw the XE12 android-info.txt had board=notle in it, so I dropped that in the update zip, and fastboot appears to be applying the update now. Guess I'll find out if my glass is bricked when I get home (yes, I'm flashing it remotely from work, my glass is plugged into my linux box at home...

Post [REF]Google Glass Stock OTA URLs

Interesting - the glass_1-img-1124447.zip is for "glass_1" hardware, not "notle". I'm a 2nd or 3rd tier glass explorer, not on rev1 hardware. # fastboot update glass_1-img-1124447.zip archive does not contain 'boot.sig' archive does not contain 'recovery.sig' archive does not contain...

Post [ROM] [N1] Evervolv Kitkat 4.4

Still no :( 3.2.0 works just fine from the fastboot-update zip, but 4.0.0p1 and p2 both fail with the data-length-too-large error. This was w/ 260/8/168. This is my knock-around 3rd fall-back phone, so no big deal. $ sudo /usr/local/bin/fastboot update...

Post [ROM] [N1] Evervolv Kitkat 4.4

I keep raising the system partition size and I still can't get it to install. I'm beginning to wonder if there is a specific version of fastboot that is necessary. Unfortunately I can't see a way to check what version of fastboot I have, I don't see any version info. Tried the most recent...

Huh, even with a 250mb system / 8 cache when ever I try to upload over fastboot the system.img file, I get this: $ sudo /usr/local/bin/fastboot flash system system.img < waiting for device > sending 'system' (227233 KB)... FAILED (remote: data length is too large) finished. total time: 0.004s

    Post [APP+MOD][4.1.2+ | STOCK][IRC-CHANNEL][GPL] PDroid 2.0 [2013-05-16 v1.57.1]

Later versions of the patch? (task killing) I successfully built from source a patched cyanogenmod 10 for maguro (galaxy nexus GSM) and installed the app from the zip up in post #1. But it tells me that my patch is out of date - where can I get patches that are newer than patch v1.51? Thanks!

    Post Power Manager!!

If that's the case, then I'm going to proceed with my refund request through google checkout. One build for everything is pretty much the worse case scenario you can go. Here's the problem: The admob software is still part of his product, still "wakes up" the phone every 30 seconds to...

    Post Power Manager!!

Positive. I pulled the package off my phone and looked at it. Plus, the developer has advertisements in the free version. It looks like the dev left the Ads in, but simply hid them.

    Post Power Manager!!

Notice: Power Manager Full ($0.99) has ads I was troubleshooting why my phone suddenly locked up tonight, and looked at the logs on the phone -- I stumbled across something called AdMob and looked deeper: I/AdMob SDK( 5707): Requesting fresh ads every 30 seconds. I pulled the package off my...

    Thread Boot splash sounds

(crosspost between my blog and xda) http://warewolf.livejournal.com/570477.html It looks like Google's Android phone OS may have, or intended to have some built-in boot splash sound effects. There are two files in framework-res.apk, under assets/sounds named bootanim0.raw and bootanim1.raw...
