Post [HELP THREAD] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly.

Anyone here with experience using a "USB C to full sized USB A" adapter, for connecting say my Nexus 6p to a wired Xbox 360 controller? This is the sort of adapter I'm talking about: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-USB-C-to-USB-Adapter/dp/B00VUKLYCM I'm sure I'll need a 3rd party app to...

Post New GBoard 6.1 : some functions not working

I haven't had that problem, but ever since my last update a few days ago, gboard has stopped auto capitalising the word "i" for some reason. I've checked that "i" isn't in my user dictionary and I've even deleted all app data but the problem is still persisting.

Post How Much Data Do You Use?

I use about 20mb per month, because although data isn't too expensive in the UK, the non data plans are far cheaper. £10 lasts well over 3 months for me without a data plan.

Post Do you still unlock/root your nexus?

Well, I usually root my new phones only several months after I've bought them, just in case there's some hardware fault that requires replacement. However, my all previous phones were Samsung Galaxies, which had unlocked bootloaders. So, naturally, I assumed that the Nexus 5 would come with an...

Post Have You Ever Seen A Nexus 5 "In The Wild"

No, I can't say that I have. The only person I know besides me with a nexus 5 was recommended by me to get it, so I suppose that doesn't count. Not only does no one have a nexus 5 in my area, but no one even knows what a nexus 5 is. Curiously enough the only person who has ever remarked "oh...

    Post Biggest Pet Peeve

I agree that flash is dying and isn't as good as html5, but since many sites still use it, is it really that hard for Google to maintain support for it?

Post [Q] Which is Your First Custom Rom ... ??

Darky rom for the Galaxy S. it was so exciting to flash a custom rom back then. And after flashing it, I thought I had screwed something up because the sim card wasn't detected. After several hours of flashing between stock and the darky rom, I finally realised, to my embarrassment, that my sim...

Post [Q] Is it Possible to Install samsung S3 rom in Xperia ION

Well, the Xperia z rom which you saw installed on the galaxy s3 on YouTube was most probably a custom galaxy s3 rom included many features ported from the Xperia z and themed to look like the z's UI. So, you obviously can't flash a Galaxy s3 rom on the Xperia Z or vice versa. However, you could...

Post biggest battery waste might be

I've got the same problem. Chrome on my Nexus 5 loads the thread lists on xda twice. Basically, it loads the page successfully, and I can even scroll about for a while, but then, about 3 seconds later, it refreshes the page on its own. Why does this happen and can't the xda web people fix this...
