Can someone please update if there's any progress? My phone started exhibiting all the same symptoms. Unfortunately I'm one month out of warranty (rotten luck). I could live with it (for now) if I could permanently disable Wifi and stop the reboots.

i got antsy and took the phone apart early. Took the gasket out and mic works perfectly now. On a side note--the first time I tried it, I tightened the screws too tight and the mic stopped working again. The mic assembly must be pretty sensitive to the pressure of the casing.

You can use flashtool and flash straight to ics. Plus, the new flashtool has binary's root method built in.

From my understanding, with my experiences with my old x10, you need the ability to flash the fxp kernel. Since we don't have a way to bypass the stock kernel yet, we probably can't use this on a locked bl. Sent from my LT28at using xda premium

You should go to the service menu and test if the microphone is working correctly. To go to the settings press *#*#7378423#*#*. Then go to service test > microphone

Ok this is ridiculous. My second ion had its mic go bad. This can't be a coincidence. The first ion I bought on launch day, and this is the replacement AT&T sent me. Can we get people to sound off if their mic has had problems. Is this just isolated to the at&t version? Sent from my LT28at...
