Post Trouble with booting after rooting, help.

With the TWRP + supersu root method, no matter what 7.0 stock ROM you use, you will not succeed before you disable boot pin and format data. You can restore data after rooting. So start with the latest stock ROM that is working 100% for you, flash twrp, format data, flash supersu, and it should...

    Post [CENTRAL] CF-Auto-Root

Used the new cf-autoroot for nougat 7.0 on a Samsung S7 Edge. I could not get past the PIN code at boot because it kept saying wrong PIN. Had the same issue with TWRP. Does this mean that cf autoroot, just like twrp, does not work with encrypted data, and I have to disable pin at boot and format...

If you are talking about Nougat - then how do you root without formatting?

Post [Recovery][Exynos] Official TWRP for Galaxy S7 edge (hero2lte)

One more question regarding this.. Is it possible to flash twrp, install supersu in twrp and then reflash stock recovery without loosing root? And would this bypass the encryption bootloop issue while keeping root? If so how to flash only stock recovery, the firmware files are ap, bl, csc and...

Post [Recovery][Exynos] Official TWRP for Galaxy S7 edge (hero2lte)

Great answer, thanks. Have to admit I did not format internal data. As far as I have understood, booting with encrypted data might be supported later on, or at least a solution like CF Autoroot might be possible? But for now it should be possible to backup with smart switch, install twrp...

Thanks. OEM unlock is enabled. The phone has not been reset to default, I flashed home-csc, but everything works fine with stock recovery. Only TWRP makes it bootloop..

Post [Recovery][Exynos] Official TWRP for Galaxy S7 edge (hero2lte)

I must be doing something wrong.. - Flashed stock Samsung Nougat ROM with Odin - Flashed TWRP 3.1 with Odin - Immediately rebooted to TWRP and flashed SuperSU 2.79 SR3 First time I did not disable PIN at boot, so could not enter - kept saying wrong PIN. Reflashed stock ROM, disabled PIN, and...

Post TWRP and stock Nougat hangs at Samsung logo, trying to root phone

Thanks for replying. In this case - even if the goal is to root - it seems the problem is with TWRP.. Even if I do not root, but just install TWRP, the neverending bootlogo shows up..

Thread TWRP and stock Nougat hangs at Samsung logo, trying to root phone

Just installed Nougat stock ROM for my S7 Edge with ODIN, and trying to root. I installed TWRP latest version 3.01 and immediately after installed supersu 2.79 SR3 from TWRP. At first I could not boot the phone because it kept saying I used the wrong PIN code for boot. I reflashed stock rom and...

    Post [STABLE][2016.07.05] SuperSU v2.76 [CLOSED]

Same here, note 2 with stock 4.3 knox removed, bootloader mj5, rom mj9. Root randomly lost on reboot, rerooting with recovery, but only stays rooted for a couple of reboots, then gone again. Supersu is not removed. How do we find out what removes root? Is there a log to do this? Sent from my...

Post Root suddenly lost on reboot, 4.3 stock

Okay so, different rom, same bootloader. Do you use any of the following: avast antivirus, wanam xposed module, afwall+ ? Have you frozen or deleted knox? Using philz recovery? Mine did not really do this until after having installed mj5 bootloader, but with the old 4.1.2 bootloader I...
